Spent the better part of Saturday kicking rocks at Waddell and rebuilding my Mark IV (my older kite) for more play days down at Marina. The conditions were fickle but we managed to mine some 45 minute flights out of light lift. Above: Trey, Big Sur's prodigal son, gets some airtime on El Norte side.
Sunday was a particularly sweet day at Ed Levin. The day was broken into a few cycles. The first of which was strong South winds providing some ridge lift. I launched a bit later and managed to stay up in some active thermals for 1:20 gaining 1,500' over launch. Conditions further improved following the flush that brought me down and a convergence burst through the inversion behind the ridge allowing one lucky pilot to get to 7k'. Above: Looking North to Mission Peak and Diablo, Below: South over launch. Great day flying with lots of folks I haven't soared with since last season. Also picked up my key to Mission from Roy! Woohoo!
